This newly formed trio hail from the North West Highlands to Orkney who combine a range of instrumental combinations to create music which reflects their varied influences. Charlie ranges from Highland traditional music to a long standing interest in bluegrass and gypsy jazz music. Owen is a multi-instrumentalist he has studied both popular and traditional music for instrument and voice. Laurie Cameron – Glasgow
Spending the last two years writing and recording in the Old Mill Studio, Strathaven, Lanarkshire, this 25 year old Scottish acoustic singer-songwriter recently completed the recording of her debut album which is due for release in 2015. Having supported the likes of Frightened Rabbit and Roddy Woomble (Idlewild) in 2011, Laurie headlined Scotland’s Acoustic Affair “Best Breaking Songwriters” event at Glasgow City Halls and also made the shortlist in the Glastonbury Emerging Talent competition.

Canach Glasgow
Caitlin McNeill, Alana MacInnes and Robbie Greig make up the exciting trio Canach. Respectively hailing from traditionally rich cultural backgrounds in Colonsay, South Uist and Edinburgh this dynamic trio were thrust into music from an early age and have now come together to showcase their talents. All three attended the Lews Castle College UHI Benbecula music course and met after being invited to play in Brittany by Ceolas Uibhist. They have appeared at Arran Folk Festival, Knoydart Music Festival and Ceòl Cholasa. A stream of local concerts and gigs is steadily building the reputation and fan base of this dynamic trio.

Jimmy Wolfe – Kilmarnock / Glasgow
Established in 1999, this seasoned Celtic/Cajun/Rock/Roll/Bluegrass/Swing/Blues/Skiffle band have something for everyone! Gigging extensively from Wickerman, Knochengorrach, Balloch and Girvan to name but a few festivals to clubs and pubs throughout Scotland. The band can be relied on to get a crowd going.

Ross Hull & Cameron Grant
Ross Hull and Cameron Grant are a fiddle and guitar duo formed in 2014 when they both began their courses on the Isle of Benbecula. Ross is currently in his 1st year of the UHI BA Applied Music course and Cameron is doing an HNC in Music. They’ve known each other for a long time having first met in 2009 in the North East Folk Collective then attending the National Centre of Excellence in Traditional Music together in their last year of high school. Ross and Cameron mostly play self-composed material which is deeply rooted in Scottish Traditional music, enjoying fusing traditional tunes into contemporary arrangements. Having now had a few gigs under their belt, they are striving to get their duo off the ground.
