North Glasgow Skiffle Orchestra – North Glasgow
Depot Arts in Possilpark thought that to get ’young adults’ interested in making music and the genra of ‘Skiffle’, started with ‘make your own’ instrument out of every day objects, aided by musicians, tutors and crafters. Once the music started to flow, the North Glasgow Skiffle Orchestra was born. It had up to 32 in it but come here today with ‘only’ 16 of it’s members.
Kern – ALL CORNERS of County Louth, Ireland
KERN blends the driving uilleann pipes and poignant whistles of Brendan with the dynamic fiddle playing of Barry and the dark, authoritative voice and guitar of SJ. All three men are from County Louth, Ireland and this is reflected in their repertoire, which includes tunes and songs from all over the county as well as self-written new ones. KERN has been featured on RTE Radio 1’s Ceili House and has already played a host of festivals and concerts in Ireland. The band is currently recording an album with Trevor Hutchinson (Lunasa, The Waterboys) for 2015 release.

Martha L Healy – Glasgow
Singer-songwriter Martha gigged solo, until she went to Nashville last year to record her CD ‘Better Days’. Encompassing her Scottish roots with Americana, ‘Better Days’ was released at the end of last year at the Grand Ole Opry in Glasgow with a full band. Nick Low, producer at BBC Scotland said: “Martha is a refreshing new talent on the Americana scene. Her observations on real life and a distintvoice are ideally suited to her country-influenced sound.” Listen Again
