See you at the place
Liz aka Auntie Lizx
Following an incredible response to their fourth album ‘Glasgow Love Story’, Tide Lines havestormed in at No. 1 in the Scottish Albums Chart and No.11 in the UK Official Albums Chart – a major achievement for the fully independent band and win for Scottish music. Written, recorded and produced entirely by the band in their studio on the Isle of Mull, and released on their own label, the success is a testament to their tireless DIY approach and ever-expanding, organically built fanbase.
The Top 15 album also marks a rare breakthrough for music featuring Scottish Gaelic lyrics, making it one of the highest-charting contemporary releases to include the language. The album includes the recent single ‘Better Days’, ‘Homeward Bound’, double A-side single ‘By The Quayside’ / ‘Leaving Town’ , and ‘Cherry Blossom Sunset’. Listen HERE.
‘Glasgow Love Story’ follows the breakthrough success of 2023’s ‘An Ocean Full of Islands’ which reached #13 in the UK, #1 in Scotland and #2 on the Independent Albums chart. Boosted by extensive Radio 2 support, their shows in support of the record included three consecutive sold-out nights at Glasgow’s Barrowland Ballroom. Always a huge draw in the live arena, the band also recently performed in front of 67,000 people as they inspired Scotland to a triumphant Six Nations win over Wales at Murrayfield Stadium.
