Join Me Liz Clark aka Auntie Liz on Saturday 20th July when she will be in conversation with Mairi Campbell about her new album “Living Stone” in collaboration with Dave Gray, which will be premiered at this years Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August along with her art work Album of The Week on 20th July 2024
“Set on Lismore, Mairi Campbell: Living Stone reveals the extraordinary in the ordinary. The show combines real and mystical elements, emphasising the importance of building and healing communities, as well as hope and connection. It also invites audiences to reflect on their own journeys.
Campbell said: “Living Stone is a deeply personal piece that speaks to the universal need for connection and wholeness. The ancient stone has guided me through my own journey, and I hope it can inspire others to find their path to healing and community.”
Presented by Greengold Projects and The Authentic Artist Collective and co-devised and directed by Kath Burlinson of the Authentic Artist Collective. Produced by KT Producing. Music co-written and produced by Dave Gray. The shows in the trilogy are Pulse (2016) and Auld Lang Syne (2018).’
Mairi Campbell “Living Stone” features Campbell’s distinctive blend of live song and viola, rich sonic landscapes and evocative storytelling, as well as striking visual art, creating a rich, multi-sensory experience that highlights the mystery and beauty of everyday life. Mairi Campbell’s work and album, Living Stone, will premiere at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this August beginning 1st of August at 5pm and every alternative day till the 25th.
