Wopodlands band members Kristina Leesik, Justyna Krzyżanowska, Joined by Bäckafall band members Fredy Samuel Lundh och Hampus Grönberg to form Wopodlands Bäckafall have studied at the Royal College of Music inStockholm, the Academy of Music and Drama at the University of Gothenburg,and deepened their knowledge of Celtic music at the Royal Conservatoire ofScotland and University of Limerick. In 2023 they received the Royal SwedishAcademy of Music’s ensemble scholarship and are planning to release their debut album in 2025. They have been featured on Swedish radio andperformed at prestigious folk festivals including Umefolk, Göteborg FolkFestival and Saltofolk. In July 2023, Woodlands Bäckafall were the backingband for the folk music musical “Gruvfruns Guld” by Hampus Grönberg and Marit Eriksson in Falu Copper Mine. The musical ran for 11 successful shows.They have also collaborated with Haga Vocal Ensemble and arranged musicor classical choir and folk band.
