Dàna are an exciting, all-female band based in Glasgow. The band’s name, meaning “bold” or “audacious” in Gaelic, perfectly encapsulates their vibrant sound and approach to performance. Dàna have spent the past few years honing their craft and graduating from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and immersing themselves in Glasgow’s vibrant traditional music scene. Comprised Anna Robertson, Eleanor Tout, Laura Penman & Alex Wotherspoon, each member of Dàna draws inspiration from their diverse regional backgrounds and dialects. Winners of a Danny at the Danny Kyle Open Stage hosted at Celtic Connections 2025. Winners of Up and Coming Artist of the Year 2025 at the Scots Trad Music Awards, the band have built a strong presence since graduating from the Royal Conservatoire of ScotlandSince emerging, they have quickly established a strong reputation, performing at numerous festivals and events across Scotland. Recent performances include, Celtic Connections, Skye Live, The Gathering Drams In The Field, Under Canvas, Kilkerran Open Day, Live In Loch Goil to name but a few!
