Liz Clark aka Auntie Liz will be In Conversation with Allan Taylor – 60 years in 60 minutes pm Travels With My Auntie Liz on Tuesday 23rd June 2026 from 8 -10pm on Celtic Music
Impossible to condense in 60 minutes, Allan, who has retired from the road this year gives some stories and some songs for ‘the road well travelled’. Starting off in 1966 he takes you on the journey from busking in pubs, to folk club gigs one week to appearing in the Albert Hall the next! Meeting some wonderful artists and characters along the way, gigs and festivals such as Skagen and Tonder, coming full circle to influencing the next generation. Some of his songs recoded by international stars – with ‘It’s Good To See You’ being recorded by over 100 different artists! Latterly collaborating, appearing and recording with Denmark’s Jacob Dinesen and recently being ‘found’ by Ed Sheeran! BBC article Link Ed bought his ‘The Traveler’ in a pile of 10 albums while in New York – loved the album and ‘Instagramed ‘ how much he like it – got in touch and hopefully going to meet up plus the BBC did a feature on it! Allan also brought out ‘It’s Been Good To See You’ which has the stories about how about how each song on the album came about, this is loved and wanted by his fans old and new! I have a feeling that there are definitely more stories about the music and journey to come!
