‘Fatma’s Waltz’ is written for my fiddle student Fatma Neilson, who has been receiving excellent care from the Beatson. I wrote her this piece to lift her spirits, and together with our pals Deirdre Craddock and Patrick Grady MP, we have decided to try to give something back to the amazing team at the Beatson Cancer Charity.

thanks to truly inspiring levels of generosity, the £5k target was smashed in less than three days. We’re going to leave the JustGiving page open as there are still donations coming in from many other kind folk out there who feel they wish to give to the Beatson.
