The second Celtic Music Radio music night at Dow’s Bar, 9 Dundas Street, next to Glasgow Queen Street station will take place on Friday 28 November as part of our St Andrew’s week celebrations.
Performing on the night will be Linsey Aitken & Ken Campbell and guests Robin Crosbie and Mike Smith.
Linsey and Ken’s story weaves together many threads from the worlds of traditional, classical and contemporary music, where historically all three genre of music were interlinked in Scotland’s musical identity.
Linsey is a highly regarded cellist, pianist and vocalist encompassing many genres and styles from classical to traditional music.
Ken Campbell is a Scottish singer-songwriter with a well established pedigree over 30 years, with five albums to date, festivals, concerts, television and radio throughout Europe and beyond.
In spring 2010, Linsey Aitken on cello and vocals joined Ken Campbell’s Ideal Band and subsequently Linsey and Ken commenced touring as a duo with a new CD Kith & Kin recorded at Watercolour Music in Scotland released in 2014.
