BARDO RETI AND ROMY WYMER
Bado Réti is a multi-instrumentalist and composer writing, performing and recording in diverse musical styles on electric bass and double bass, the Arabic oud and various percussion instruments. He has composed the original live-score for theater productions: Arthropoda, Egg, and the soundtrack of A Wire Apart (Paper Doll Militia). He’s regularly performing with Tiptrick, Ewan McIntyre Band and the Bado Réti Group and continues to work in theater and live art.
Romy Wymer is a Glasgow-based clàrsach player and composer originally from the Netherlands. Her compositions, which draw from traditional folk music, jazz and minimalism, are autobiographical in nature and seek to capture the joy of mundanity in life. She plays with the Willow Trio, and has appeared in the BBC Young Traditional Musician of the Year, at the Edinburgh International Harp Festival, and has won second place and the audience award in the World Harp Competition.
The duo have been playing together since 2022, but recently have started a new harp and double bass project, collaboratively writing original music blending their backgrounds and influences.
KATIE LINDSAY
Katie Lindsay is an obsessively prolific artist based in Glasgow. Her music is “outrageously intimate”, blending together romantic vocal ballads with shoegaze instrumentals in her band live shows, and performing intricately crafted and hauntingly intimate guitar and piano pieces with strikingly vulnerable lyricism in solo settings. She is a gifted vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and producer, lending her talents to many originals projects.
Lindsay studied at the Academy of Music and Sound from 2021-23, receiving tutelage on her performance and composition from Glasgow’s own beloved Declan Welsh. After graduating with a HND in Music & Songwriting, she moved onto study piano and keyboard at the University of Highlands and Islands, working with world-renowned trad-jazz pianist Dave Milligan, and the Red Hot Chilli Piper’s own Chris Pugh, and is due to graduate with a Bachelor of Arts after presenting her final songwriting folio at Ann Lantair in April 2026.
In 2025, Lindsay has at long last began recording and releasing her extensive catalogue of music. Her first single “hard thing” , recorded at home and released in June, is a heartbreaking bedroom lament, crackling with layers of wistful vocals and warm guitars. In July Lindsay released her piano collection “minim”, a curious and spacious exploration into the timbral possibilities of the piano. Lindsay’s duo project Two-Headed Calf released their first EP “Seek” in late June, bedroom-built songs about finding your place in the world, and delivered it to a sold-out crowd in an intimate DIY acoustic show. Lindsay’s EP “Believe”, a collection of 4 shoegazey piano-filled ballads, that has been in the works for almost 2 years, is expected in summer 2026, with more bedroom collections and studio singles to be released in the meantime.
