THE BIG NOWHERE
Genre-hopping from gothic country to atmospheric sultry jazz, to all out freakout funk to torch songs to 70s New York punk to 80s college rock, The Big Nowhere never like to stay in one place, but always somehow manage to sound like themselves. Four albums (and a rarities, live recordings and outtakes compilation), the band have notably taken some time out to get back into the studio, and are currently working on album number 5. The Big Nowhere have appeared alongside artists like Justin Townes Earle, Johnny Fritz and Doug Paisley, and bands such as First Aid Kit and The Kat Men (featuring Slim Jim Phantom), and notably, after a break from playing live to work on their latest album, recently played a show at Barlinnie Prison. With the band releasing their back catalogue on vinyl for the first time over the course of the next 12 months, and reinvogorated by playing shows, the radio silence is over. Welcome To Nowhere
