Fiddlers On the Ramp

Edinburgh based Instrumental folk band with Scottish, Appalachian and classical influences. All five of us went to the City of Edinburgh Music School and formed our band covering tunes by The Chair and Moshies Bagel before writing our own music. We ground our teeth playing on the streets of Edinburgh. Highlights of busking include being filmed and featured on the BBC Alba Programme ‘Buskers’, Sky News and Czech TV, as well as an off the hoof jam with Douglas Montgomery.

After a brief pause where we studied in various UK conservatoires, we have returned to showcase our music, and are in the middle of recording our debut album ‘Rot till ye rot’. Our upload is a demo of a track that will appear on the finished album. We are excited to perform parts of our new album live at the Danny Kyle Open Stage.

Sesar and Halliday

Gillian Halliday Chris Sesar
It doesn’t matter what kind of music you like or what genre you’re into, an evening with Chris Sesar and Gill Halliday will definitely be right up your street. With this pair the infusions of influence are genre defying, new and very different. Just when you start to understand what it is they do, they will flip it on its head and surprise you with something completely unexpected.  This is the essence of Sesar and Halliday.

Gram Allan

Gram is currently on a mission as a solo artist. He has been around the Glasgow Music scene for many years, supporting such acts as Pete Docherty of The Libertines and Emilie Sande as well as touring with The Primary 5 on their support tour with Love, the influential 60’s band. He also played The Barrowlands supporting Northern Soul legend Tommy Hunt. Away from the stage Gram has worked at King Tut’s and T in the Park and Triptych as gig rep, road manager and promoter among other jobs inside the industry.

Finn Paul

Fin is a 22 year old singer-songwriter from perthshire currently based in London.  His  music is inspired by many acoustic folk-revival  artists of the 60’s and 70’s,  especially  John Martyn, Nick Drake and Joni Mitchell, as well as drawing influence from more modern ambient, atmospheric textures with heavily romantic, often fairytale-esque lyrics. I believe that we live in an age whereby fantasy and reality are often heavily  interconnected and escapism has become an inherent part of our culture –  it’s a theme that fascinates me and many of the songs I write end up touching on it.

I’ve recently been lucky enough to gain experience playing support slots for some of my favourite acts, including the wonderful Old blind dogs and Graeme Clarke. I’ve also been having a lot of fun recording my debut album at the fantastic Grans House Studio and am eagerly looking forward to what the future holds.
