DKOS Artists 18th Jan 2026:- ZOR – Olivia Graham – Michelle Cameron – Painted Sky – Max MacIntyre & Màiri Callan……

ZOR

is a Roma-led contemporary band based in Glasgow, known for their high-energy fusion of Roma, Balkan, and flamenco-influenced sounds. Made up of young Roma musicians from the Govanhill area, the band brings together deep-rooted musical heritage with a bold, modern edge.
Formed through a Youth Music Initiative funded programme delivered by Ando Glaso, ZOR emerged as a response to the lack of professional pathways available to Roma musicians. The project supported the band to develop their sound, confidence, and live performance experience, helping them move from community-based music making onto professional stages across the UK and beyond.
ZOR sees itself as a new generation of cultural ambassadors, using music as a way to represent Roma culture in a contemporary, outward-looking way. The band combines traditional Roma, Balkan and flamenco elements, reshaping these influences through modern grooves, driving rhythms, and a strong live energy. Their work is about visibility and representation as much as sound — bringing Roma culture onto national and international stages and challenging outdated narratives through youthful representation of the vibrant Roma culture.
In 2024, ZOR released their debut album Palo Drom (“Our Road”), capturing the band’s journey and evolving artistic voice. The album is available on all major streaming platforms and reflects the road they have travelled together as musicians.
ZOR have toured extensively across the UK and Ireland, with performances at festivals and events including Knockengorroch Festival, Misleór Festival in Galway, the Yorkshire Integration Festival. They have also appeared at Ando Glaso Roma Fest and other major cultural showcases.
Now making a name for themselves across the UK and increasingly among Roma communities throughout Europe, ZOR represents a new generation of Roma artists confidently claiming space on national and international stages, while staying rooted in their culture and community.

OLIVA GRAHAM

Olivia is a professional singer-songwriter and musician hailing from the historic city of York, England. Evoking the ancient art of the Celtic bard, she seeks to breathe new life into the history, tales and traditions of the British Isles.
Her soft, ethereal vocals and plethora of musical instruments – Celtic harp (cláirseach), fiddle, piano, tin whistles, harmonium, guitar and bodhrán – create a dreamlike landscape that transports the listener to another time and place. In her live shows she has been known to sing in Irish, Gaelic, Manx, Welsh, Latin and even Old English & Old Irish!
Since the release of her debut EP in 2013, Olivia’s music has received airplay on radio stations across the UK, US and Europe. She has been featured live-in-session on BBC Introducing. Her first full album, Faerie Songbook (2025), received glowing reviews from independent music critics and caught the attention of Irish Music Magazine, who featured it in their recent November issue. She has appeared on festival stages across the UK, notably at Galtres Parklands, Edinburgh Fringe and previously at DKOS at Celtic Connections.
In 2024 she developed An Evening In Avalon – a unique solo theatre show that blended her unique musicianship with theatrical storytelling to illuminate tales from Arthurian legend. The show premiered with a sell-out performance at York’s leading fringe venue Theatre@41.
Her love of history led her to create Celtic Carols By Candlelight – an alternative carol concert exploring the Christmas and Advent season through the eyes of the Celtic saints. The show premiered at York’s Holy Trinity Goodramgate in 2024, before heading out on a wider tour of historic churches in 2025.
Olivia’s music has storytelling at its very heart – something that stems from her background in professional theatre. She has a BA Hons from the Guildford School of Acting, where she trained for three years on the Actor-Musician programme. While there, her song Morgan Le Fay placed runner-up in the Sir Richard Stilgoe Songwriting Competition, with Sir Richard himself dubbing her ‘a poet’.
In addition to her work as a performer, Olivia occasionally writes and musically directs for theatre and live events. She is especially proud to have been part of the creative team for Irish children’s show Tír na nÒg (Moonbeam Productions), composing and performing the musical score.
She has also had the pleasure of supporting and contributing musically to initiatives within the Heritage industry, with recent collaborations including Out Of The Box Learning, The Churches Conservation Trust and York Georgian Festival.
Alongside her creative work, Olivia also leads regular workshops in singing and Celtic music, proudly working alongside the Richard Shepherd Music Foundation and other initiatives.

MICHELLE CAMERON

Born in Dundee and raised moving between towns, Michelle Cameron found inspiration in her mother’s poetry and her siblings’ early musical interests, but she was the first to pursue music seriously. After a friend’s guitar lessons sparked her curiosity in high school, she began writing songs as a therapeutic way to process heartbreak, trauma, and mental health struggles. Now in her final year of a BA (Hons) in Popular Music at the University of the Highlands and Islands, Michelle has grown into an artist who embraces emotional honesty and connection.
A pivotal songwriting residency transformed her confidence and creative identity, leading to lasting collaborations that shaped her debut work. She later joined Glasgow’s Hen Hoose collective, a network of female and non-binary songwriters and producers, where a workshop with acclaimed producer Dan Gautreau further affirmed her songwriting skill.
Describing her sound as “sad girl indie alt-pop,” Michelle crafts piano and guitar led songs infused with cello and textural swells. Drawing inspiration from Phoebe Bridgers, Lizzy McAlpine, and Novo Amor, she writes from a queer perspective while aiming for emotional universality. Following her single Deal Breaker, she is set to release a new single and debut EP in early 2026.

PAINTED SKY

Painted Sky have only recently emerged onto the UK folk scene, but they have already made a lasting impression with their progressive acoustic sound.
Siblings George Brandon (guitar/vocal) and Holly Brandon (fiddle/vocal) have been making music together for as long as they can remember. Both have worked on independent projects, with George performing solo and Holly, perhaps best known as part of transatlantic folk band, The Magpies. But the siblings have always been drawn back to each other’s playing and tight-knit instrumentals and harmonies reflect the bedrock of their lifelong musical history.`
Original material thoughtfully balances the duo’s roots in traditional English music. Their songs are characterised by honest vocals and timeless storytelling, underpinned by driving rhythms. Whilst their exquisite instrumentals weave delicate finger-picking guitar and soaring fiddle with a dynamic energy.
After making waves with their EP – Dawn – in 2020, Painted Sky released their debut album From The Blue in May 2024. Produced by award-winning singer-songwriter, Blair Dunlop, the record stands as a testimony to the siblings’ 20 years of music making. It feeds on a rich pool of English songwriting, traditional songs and ideas to deliver an album with a refreshing mindset, where waves of contemporary textures and arrangements make it feel like an album truly from the blue.
