Zoё Wren & Jasmine Watkiss
When harmony-obsessed multi-instrumentalists Zoё Wren and Jasmine Watkiss formed a duo after an impromptu Cambridgeshire gig in 2018, they didn’t think that in less than two years they would have won Purbeck Rising 2018, released their debut EP ‘Remedy’, which won the Fatea EP of the Year Award 2019, and sold out a headline show at the Green Note for the launch of their second EP.
The duo, who describe themselves as Indie Folk/Americana, have supported John Smith and Gilmore & Roberts, and played main stage shows at Purbeck Valley Folk Festival and Wimborne Minster Folk Festival.
They were also invited to Switzerland to play the Fête de la Musique Genève 2019. Roswell’s second EP ‘Come Home’, produced by Dan Wilde, was released in February 2020, with the tour including shows at The Stables in Milton Keynes, The Big Comfy Bookshop in Coventry and The Shelley Theatre in Bournemouth.

Noleen Ní Cholla Fri 29th Jan. 2021
Noeleen is an award-winning sean-nós singer & song writer. Her album An Mhaighdean Mara was released in 2015. She sings Irish & Scottish Gaelic & English.
The song I composed ‘Fan Liom/Stay with me. Noel Duugan from Clannad and Manus Lunny are singing and accompanying me on it (vocals adn instrumentals). I recorded it at Manus’s Stiúdeo na Mara, Carrickfinn.
I was inspired to write the song as my granny who passed away at 104 in June 2011, asked me to be with her when she would die. That waws two weeks before she passed away and I was with her when she died and sang for her. It is also about couples parting and and meeting your pets at the rainbow bridge where they are there waiting for us to join them.

Primrose Hill Fri 29th Jan. 2021
Based in Wuppertal, Germany, Uwe Kreinberg, Gerti Altreuther, Erich Limbach and Glyn Edmonds
„Primrose Hill“ play and sing traditional and contemporary folk songs sometimes combined with instrumental melodies from the British Isles and Ireland .
Glyn fell in love with Germany after visiting the Black Forest at the age of 14… he landed in Wuppertal, he’ll never understand how! Born in the industrial City of Manchester he built his own mechanical instrument, a Haggis machine, sometimes also known as a Hurdy Gurdy. Brought up listening to many singer/songwriters he started writing his own songs and performing as a solo artist and also performs more Traditional english Folk with Christoph Brodersen, known as “Brodersen and Edmonds”.
Gerti and Uwe regularly spend their holidays in nearly every hidden corner of England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
Uwe is well known for his playing with „Eric’n Krainy“ and together with Gerti and friends he also plays with „The Acoustic Ride On“
Eric Joined Primrose Hill after playing a couple of Gigs along side each other, and joining in on occasions – he now just belongs!
While unable to go and see the artists live during lockdown they are still able to bring you their music via all their social media so please go and check out how busy they have been writing and performing their music during this difficult time for all artists
