Are a Glasgow based new-folk outfit, who draw inspiration from their Trad. roots, and blend it with Jazz, Scandi, and Indie Pop music to create a fresh style of original composition.
The majority of LAPWYNG music was written over a week spent inside a shed without outside distraction. The band consists of Euan Mclaughlin on fiddle, Ewen White on Accordion and Synthesisers, and Alasdair Mackenzie on Guitars. collectively the have performed with bands such as Baile, Dante, Mick West, Lewis Mclaughlin and Trip, and all attended National Centres for Excellence in Music through high school.

Originally hailing from the Speyside region of Scotland, Kilderkin combine raucous tune sets and ceilidh with energetic original songs and imaginative covers. Featuring Macaulay Ross – Fiddle / Lewis Wiles – Guitar ; Vocals ; Stompbox ; / Rowan Duncan – Bass Guitar; Vocals , Kilderkin formed in June 2018 but have been playing together in different formats since they were teenagers, creating a unique stage chemistry. Alll currently music students living and studying in Glasgow, Paisley and Edinburgh, the band are looming to break into the vibrant central belt folk scene in 2020. Kilderkin’s style is perhaps best describes as ‘Garage Trad / Folk’ raw and rough arount the edges with lots of energy , originality and drive. Thais trio know how to hoolie and aren’t to be missed

A singer songwriter from Motherwell Bex Currie wears her heart on her sleeve through her music. Writing about love loss and everything in between. Bex has been Glasgow based for some years but has taken her music to the Middle east and also Kenya while out working. Recently she has released an EP titled For You. As well as working the local open mic circuit Bex has also supported Wallis Bird, Allie Moss, Rachael Yamagata and will soon be on the road for her first tour with American band Ships Have Sailed.

Binky Blue – Jared Muir & Rianna Muir
Consisting of brother and sister; Jared and Rianna Muir, Binky Blue is a traditional band from Stewarton in East Ayrshire. Binky Blue was formed in 2018 by Guitarist Jared Muir; a previous student of Plockton
Music School. Jared has been influenced by a range of musical styles such as Traditional, Gypsy Jazz, Funk and Rock; all of which have had an impact on the style and sound of Binky Blue. Fiddliest Rianna Muir gives the band its traditional style. Rianna picked up the instrument from a young age and has taken part in many of Adam Sutherland’s workshops in Kilmarnock. As well as this, Rianna was awarded ‘Young Musician of the Year’, 2 years running at Stewarton Academy. Binky Blue tries to capture the sound of modern styles of music and incorporate them with traditional tunes with the goal of moving traditional music forward and keeping it alive amongst the youth of Scotland.

Glasgow based singer/songwriter John Rush with his ‘folk tinged pop songs’ washed down with some amber nectar, has played some of Glasgow’s greatest venues such as ‘King Tut’s Wha Wha Hut’, ‘O2 Academy’, ‘Barrowlands’ & ‘The Royal Concert Hall’ Through the years he has racked up some highly acclaimed support slots with
names like ‘Ocean Colour Scene’, ‘Mark Morris (Bluetones), ‘Chris Helme (Seahorses) Steve Pilgrim (Paul Weller Band) & Johnny Lloyd (Tribes).
Mr Rush took a selection of songs “Beneath The Apple Tree” album across the pond to New York City, late September 2019 where he showcased the new Album in a
quick mini tour consisting of 4 gigs in 5 nights across the city including a secret rooftop Sofar Sounds show and then concluding in the prestigious New York Music Venue ‘The Rockwood Music Hall’.
John’s team is now in talks with Johnny Lloyd from Tribes to join him on his Highlands and Islands tour early 2020. They are also in the initial stages with Focus
Wales to showcase his debut album 2020. With sets at the recent Americana all dayer at Saint Luke’s (Glasgow Roots Review) and playing a small set at HMV
Glasgow alongside Anton and the Colts and Phil Campbell of the Temperance Movement, John has started to get a name for himself with the Glasgow Americana/Folk circuit.
