We are a Glasgow based, four piece folk rock band. The acoustic guitar engine room is enriched with the use of clarinet, mandolin, bass guitar, cajon, accordion and close harmony vocals.Their songs are about love, heartbreak, social equality, politics and workingclass heroes. In 2017 Jumpers for Goalposts released an eponymous 3track Ep. One of the tracks ‘The Boxer Benny Lynch’, attracted the attention of The Daily Record prompting them to write a two-page spread about it. The band go from strength to strength and in August 2018 they were delighted to be asked to take part in Glasgow’s European Championships’ cultural program where they performed on the main stage age at George Square.
On this occasion Lewis is absent from the band as he is in Hong Kong !
Originally hailing from a fishing village in the east newk of fife, guitarist/ singer songwriter Ben Berman developed an interest in music from an early age raised on an eclectic taste in music, and draws influence from many different styles of music including rock, folk, pop and jazz. Originally starting out as guitarist some 15 years ago Ben felt inspired to start singing and writing when moving through to Glasgow in 2009 to study music performance at North Glasgow college. He became involved in the thriving music scene that the city has to offer. As well as performing as a soloist Ben has previously played in bands playing both covers and original material playing at corporate events and also hosting live events such as open mic nights. Having recently developed and interest in music production Ben began work on his debut EP entitled Hill Cress which gave him complete creative control having recorded and played all the instruments and mixed and mastered the tracks himself.

Shetland musician Barry Nisbet is a songwriter and sailor with a repertoire inspired by the drama of life, his islands, and the sea.
Playing contemporary folk that is firmly placed in the modern world, Barry’s roots are traditional, with a fiddle-playing background and a voice that has been compared to the late Iain Mackintosh. He launched his first album, featuring original songs and a full band, in March 2018 to excellent reviews. He performs regularly in Scotland, England and mainland Europe. As one of the Cullivoe Fiddlers, Barry plays a regional style of Shetland music; a Captain of tall ships such as Søren Larsen, he has sailed the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans. He now runs the ‘Sessions and Sail’ voyages, bringing musicians together for workshops and sessions aboard the ‘Lady of Avenel’.

“FlewTheArrow is a fast-rising contemporary folk artist from the small town of Ayr on the West Coast of Scotland. Melding fleeting finger-style melodies with percussive beats through an array of pleasant open tunings, accompanied by his poetic lyrics and powerful voice, that collate to form a warm sense of original songwriting that is yet to be discovered.”
He has recently recorded and out gigging with his new 4 piece band – releasing their New CD!
