Bella Gaffney is a young singer songwriter who first started playing folk music at the Topic Folk Club in Bradford.
She has gone on to write her own songs as well as arrangements of traditional tracks and is giging around the
smaller festival in England and support slots for established artists
Turadh – The Highlands – Listen Again
Formed last year, are a duo of fiddle and clarsach currently based up in the Highlands near Inverness. Emma a graduate of Edinburgh University, violinist both in a classical and scottish traditional style a full time musician both teaching and performing. Isbel, graduate from Strathclyde University BA applied music, on clarsach , a performer and compose as well as being a secondary school music teacher. They are both passionate about their musical heritage and strive to push the boundaries

Causeway Trio – The Islands – The Highlands – London – Listen Again
Formed in 2012 when three young music students combined their joint interests in contemporary classical, jazz and world folk to create a new take on Scottish traditional music. With an EP under their belt have been and touring the Highlands and Islands of Scotland with their music culminating in a performance as part of Alexander McCall Smith’s book talk at the Edinburgh International Book Festival.

A singer songwriter from the highlands draw her music from the atmospheric landscape of her youth. She launched her debut EP ‘Bright Shadows’ last year and it has been greatly received. She brings you her unique innovative sound in collaboration with her follow musicians is creating an interest from all who hear it

The Precious Penny Pluckers – Edinburgh – Listen Again
Nicola and Corry have been performing together for a few years under different musical outfits from bluegrass to soul and gypsy swing. Our original material draws from an eclectic pool of influence, many songs written with a different style or genre in mind. Describes as as a rhythmic body, but also offer an engaging, lyrical story through which a tale of remorse or revenge, tragedy and strange lands can be explored and brought to life. Released an EP ‘Yonder approaches the great machine’
