Seasoned veterans of the Glasgow folk/acoustic scene as the Colts, took a new direction last year and Anton & The Colts was born, released their debut EP, ‘6:45 & 450 Down’ at the end of January and are now working hard playing shows up and down the country.

Three Men and A Box – Glasgow – Listen Again
A ceilidh band with a fresh and exciting sound. Originally from Aberdeen, Edinburgh and the Dumfries all met playing music in Glasgow while studying at university, each bring their own distinctive style to the band. With a mixture of traditional Scottish and Irish music, self-penned tunes, and folk songs. They play for ceilidhs as well as playing gigs at folk clubs and festivals

Martin Jones – Greenock – Listen Again
A singer songwriter from Greenock. I a stalwart of his local folk scene. As well as gigging locally he is a ‘well kent’ face around the Scottish festival and folk scene. He brings his music and songs about his home town and songs that inspire him. Was originally brought into the fold of the folk scene by the late Danny Kyle and encouraged to go forward with his music as only Danny could
Davy Nicol – Gourock – Listen Again
A singer songwriter from Gourock a hard working musician who released his CD ‘ Greenock Road‘ last year to critical acclaim here nationally and internationally!– a crafted and evocative complication of songs he wrote about the influences of growing up and work the shores of Clyde. He has supported various headline artists such as Martin Stephenson, Justin Townes Earle and the legendary Tom Russell.
Woodwife Band – Glasgow – Listen Again
“Awoken in damp, dark shelter. Nourished by animal cries and lightening. This noise is of old heart and fire. This noise is gifted to you until it finds its way home. We are hallow, we are voice, we are thunder. We are Woodwife” Gigging withing the Glasgow and surrounding areas regularly since April 2014, combining earthy acoustic ballads with gnarled electric guitars, thunderous drums and vivid layers of atmosphere to create a new folk experience.
