Jamie McAulay & The Strays – Paisley –
Jamie McAulay / Ross Graham / Ewan MacColl
A young up and coming indie rock band emerging from Paisley, with influences ranging from Catfish and the Bottlemen to The Rolling Stones. The band comes to life on stage with songs you can’t help singing along to. Already for a new act they have an impressive list of live shows under their belt including the O2 ABC2 and Brown’s Lane Festival. On the 2nd September Jamie McAulay & The Strays will playd at the acclaimed O2 ABC Mainstage Glasgow alongside other upcoming Scottish bands to showcase Scotland’s unsigned talent. They are on a mission to play live and play long. They are currently in the studio recording their first EP. This is a band that’s not to be missed!
Michael Timmons – Glasgow
A solo musician from Glasgow creating nimalist, reverb laden and narritive driven songs. Michael released his debut single Hold On Sea in October 2017 receiving airplay on BBC 6 MUSIC – “A man of some lovely words in song” Steve Lamacq. His new song Painting from upcoming album was described as an “absolutely gorgeous” track by Tom Robinson BBC 6 music. Gathering a solid fan base in his home town to rave reviews from his Hug & Pint gigs in Glasgow and ABC2 to Summerhall in Edinburgh are eagerly awaiting his dubut album
Lloyd James Fay – Glasgow
Lloyd Is a Glaswegian singer-songwriter, influenced by the likes of Neil Young, James Taylor, Malcolm Middleton, Laura Viers and Mark Kozelek, who has featured on BBC Radio 4, Channel 4’s Hollyoaks and at the Celtic Connections Festival.As the main songwriter in Thula Borah my music has also reached the final of The Billy Kelly Songwriting Competition, been played on Radio 1, Radio Scotland, been featured on Stereogum, and played at many festivals including Indie Week Europe 2016. He is currently working on material for his 2nd solo release and wants to share some of this material, which is his attempt to tackle and reflect the strange and uncertain times we are living in.
He regularly perform at Nice N Sleazy’s open mic nights on Monday nights at the infamous venue as well as many others throughout the bustling Glaswegian music scene.
