David Grub & The High Rise Band – Fife – Listen Again

David Grubb’s unique brand of composition amalgamates folk, jazz, blues and classical, all underpinned by his Scottish traditional roots. David – on fiddle and mandolin – along with his High Rise Band, bring together an array of seemingly disparate musical elements. From a riot of galloping beats and strings, to melancholic, reflective and haunting melodies the next, the music weaves and wanders a remarkable journey through imagined soundscapes. David’s critically acclaimed debut title ‘High Rise’ – released in 2014 – was described as “an album of wondrous beauty” (Folk Radio UK). Always pushing musical boundaries, he is currently working on new material for a follow up album.
Miss Irenie Rose – Isle of Lewis Listen Again
From the Isle of Lewis, an island dear to her heart and her music. Brought up with lots of music in the house and in 2010 started to lear the guitar and has never looked back. Has played in and around the UK, in Sweden, Belgium and Austria, support ‘amazing artist’, playin festivals and getting to be on radio and TV!
Madam Tsunami – Aberdeen – Listen Again

Madam Tsunami’s second album ‘Long Way From Home’ is due to be released February 2017.Recorded to mark their relocation from Auckland, New Zealand to Aberdeen in Scotland, the album touches on themes of nostalgia, getting older, new beginnings and yearning for home. Husband and wife duo Adam Usmani (guitar/vocals) and Coralie Usmani (fiddle/vocals) are joined by Scottish musicians Innes Cardno (guitar/mandolin) and Stewart Wilson (double bass) to create songs flavoured with the musical language of Scotland, but delivered with a decidedly kiwi accent.
Sally Simpson & Catriona Hawskworth – Kilwinning – Listen Again
Sally Simpson and Catriona Hawksworth form a striking and dynamic fiddle and piano duo playing repertoire from the Scottish traditions alongside new compositions. Their music is primarily influenced by Scottish music whilst also incorporating elements of traditions from further afield. Their sound is intimate and personal, focusing on the link between the two musicians, making full use of dynamics and textures, whilst respecting the traditions from which their music is taken.Sally and Catriona have played together for many years having coincidently followed similar musical paths. Both musicians began playing at a young age, learning classical as well as folk and traditional music. They then developed their playing at the RSAMD Junior Academy, followed by some time studying at the National Centre for Excellence in Traditional Music in Plockton.
Harry Harris – Edinburgh – Listen Again 
Harry Harris is an award winning songwriter from Wales, currently based in Edinburgh, who has drawn acclaim for his rich storytelling ability and his powerful voice. In the past he has shared the stage with fantastic songwriters such as Anais Mitchell, John Smith, Kris Drever and Eric Taylor. Signed to Wild Sound Recordings, his last album Songs About Other People was called “reflective, thoughtful, and wonderfully realised” by Spiral Earth, “fresh and interesting” by Insurgent Country, “the emergence of a significant songwriting talent” by FATEA Magazine, and was named The Telegraph’s Folk Album of the Year in 2015, getting a 5 star review. FATEA Magazine also named The Ballad of Ronnie Radford as Track of the Year. Now based in Edinburgh full time Harry is preparing to go into the studio for a third album in 2017.
