The Meadows play original works, both instrumental and sung, along with fresh interpretations of folk music from various traditions, predominantly drawn from Celtic culture. Their concerts are an ethereal journey of sounds: a fusion of atmospheric, contemplative, emotional textures combined with high-energy, exhilarating folk music which gets people dancing. To date they have played numerous concerts, including charity tours, various festivals and events across the U.K., The Wales Millennium Centre, along with BBC Introducing, international radio airplay, articles in the press including Celtic Life International and Celtic Guide
Kate Kyle – Dumfries – Listen Again
Kate is a young singer/songwriter based in Dumfries. Writing songs soulful country and folk influenced. Kate gigs around her local area performing at Dumfries and Galloway Arts Festival / Thornhill Music Festival / Festival of Politics as well as local clubs and events. Kate has also won awards for her songwriting and is also out performing as a duo with Elia Davidson.!
She was the South Scotland finalist for Holyrood Rocks 2015 and went on to compete and perform at Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh. This lead onto being asked back to perform as a featured artist, 2016, Festival of Politics. Upcoming performances include, Wee Burns Supper Festival, The Beatles Charity event, Maidens of Music, Arts Festival – Guitar Strings, among others.
An Dha – Brighton – Listen Again

“Experience the fire of Scottish Traditional music, the delicacy of classical perfection and the spirit of jazz and the life of the city from Urban Folk Duo An Dh, And Dha means ‘The Two’ in Gaelic, two musicians , a Violin and a Cello, on a journey exploring life and music together.
An Dha are a Fiddle and Cello duo writing and performing folk music that combines styles and genres to explore the boundaries of contemporary fok music. They formed in 2013 at Trinity Laban Conservatoire after Violinist Jaya Hanley and Cellist Sara James visited the Isle of Skye and were entranced by the beauty and music of the island. In 2016 they won the London Fiddle Convention Competition, various awards in the St Albans Folk Completion’s and were finalists I the Bath Folk Competition” .
Elia Davidson – Dumfries – Listen Again
Sixteen year old singer songwriter Elia Davidson won the Amnesty International Youth Awards Songwriting Competition in 2015 and was invited to judge this year’s entries in London alongside Ricky Wilson (Kaiser Chiefs) and Neil Amin Smith (Clean Bandit). Merchant City Festival (via Scottish Music Centre), at Dumfries and Galloway Arts Festival and at Youth Beatz. In November of 2016, Elia was chosen to play on the Creative Scotland funded Hit the Road tour performing in Dunfermline, Dumfries and Glasgow. In addition to touring, Elia was fortunate to participate in a series of songwriting workshops alongside the likes of Louis Abbott (Admiral Fallow), Findlay Napier, Callum Wiseman (Prides) and Ross Leighton (Fatherson). Elia also performs in a duo along with Kate Kyle!
Elia released her self- titled debut EP on Smart Indie in 2016 and is looking forward to returning to the studio in the summer of 2017 to record her follow up EP.
