Pauline Vallance – Beith
Pauline had a late career change in her 50’s to become a singer/songwriter. She has won several songwriting awards and likes to push the boundaries of what can be performed on the clarsach. She performs regularly at the Edinburgh Fringe and is currently a member of several groups, including Witches’ Brew, Caim, Tomfoolery and The Fusioneers. She also loves performing on her own, from folk clubs to open mic nights and was delighted to play her first hippy festival this year
Marc Carr –Clydebank
Marc is an acoustic blues singer songwriter, supporting local clubs and singarounds. Attending West College Scotland, as well as having his own business. some of the artists he likes listening to include Jamie MacDowell/Ben Otterwell / King Hokum / Monica Heldal / Stev’n’ Seabulls
Michael Gaitens – Kilsyth
Michael is a singer songwriter and acoustic guitarist staunch support of The Nova Scotia Folk Club in The Fort Theatre in Bishopbriggs He has been playing and singing for many years, in various bands, duos, and as a solo artist, covering most of the central belt. He started writing songs about 10 years ago as it seemed a good method to put across things he wanted to say about himself, his life, his family, and things that happen, concern or intrigue him in general. He has played with many bands, but most notably, `The Chihuahuas Band`, who were playing a fusion of celtic and rock throughout Glasgow and beyond. The Band played some festivals, notably, Wickerman, Loopaloo, and the Northern Roots festival at Bogbain Farm, Inverness.
