Day Four of The Danny Kyle Open Stage at The Spree Festival in Paisley Monday 17 th October
Broadcast live on Celtic Music Radio 5-6pm from The Speigletent, Gilmour Street, Paisley
Westport – Alexandria
Westport is a 3 piece family band. Play at local acoustic nights and record their versions of the songs at home. They play a variety of songs and some instrumental tracks “We cover the more traditional songs like The Massacre of Glencoe and The Mingulay Boat Song to songs from artists such as Dougie MacLean, Runrig and The Corries, as well as playing some traditional tunes. We select songs that we feel we can arrange in a way to compliment the line up of the band.”
Lorna Jane Gracie – East Kilbide
Lorna Jane Gracie is a singer songwriter, normally with her partner they make up 50 Shades of Blue. Her stunning bluesy voice gives depth to well crafted lyrics and has a few ‘political’ songs in there too! Gigs extensively throughout Scotland attending many a festival and a great supporter of folk clubs and singarounds.
